FIRST CHAKRA—The root chakra is the symbolic connection with the earth and basic survival. Paranoid ideation is seen if this chakra is too active, and the “will to live” is lowered if this chakra is blocked. The rectum, anus and urethra are the organ structures associated with this chakra. These lower two chakras (first and second) are associated with holding on to old material, “old garbage” and an inability to release the past. The root is the fuel for the furnace of procreation and creative energy at all levels. The energy is channeled upward to the throat chakra in the form of expressiveness to the head in the form of consciousness and both are filtered through the heart in the form of loving compassion.

Illness is the end product of the disruption between the soul (higher self) and the personality. This disruption is larger than the physical disease itself. If this altered state can be bridged or repaired energetically, health can be restored. Fear and negativity break the connection between body/personality and soul/higher self. Fear has a splitting effect on the magnetic molecularly-based physical body, and disconnects it from its much needed guiding higher self. This separation leaves the body open to bacterial and viral invasion. The cause of disease lies in the personality, and the predisposition for the type of disease is seated in the miasm, encoded in the DNA. The miasm is the potential for disease predetermined by the genetically altered health of each individual's ancestors, given the illnesses contracted in their lifetimes.
